Last night, I'd updated my Internet Download Manager (IDM) to 6.03 beta build 10 but my pc have problem to patch the software using the patch given by the uploader. So I'd googled and found a lot of patches but none of them are working for me. Lastly I'd found an article on the net on how to patch IDM manually. So here is the trick.

This trick had been tested with Internet Download Manager 9.03 Beta 10.

Okay, firstly download the installer. You can download it from IDM's website or any other website that provides downloads for software like Softpedia, Kioskea and Cnet.

After you've downloaded it, Install IDM as usual, when you are asked for serial number, use one of below keys:

If it does not ask for serial number, head to IDM main window after the installation. Go to Registration > Register. Fill in all the empty box and click on the "Register" button. Okay, IDM will say that it is registered with fake serial number and will still be trial for 30 days. Now, lets the patching begin...

Open Run dialog box ( Start > Run ), Type in "notepad %windir%\system32\drivers\etc\hosts" without the quotes and notepad will pop up. Next add the below line into it:

127.0.0.1    tonec.com
127.0.0.1    www.tonec.com
127.0.0.1    registeridm.com
127.0.0.1    www.registeridm.com
127.0.0.1    secure.registeridm.com
127.0.0.1    internetdownloadmanager.com
127.0.0.1    www.internetdownloadmanager.com
127.0.0.1    secure.internetdownloadmanager.com
127.0.0.1    mirror.internetdownloadmanager.com
127.0.0.1    mirror2.internetdownloadmanager.com

Save it and your Internet Download Manager had been successfully converted to full version. Enjoy downloading. Here is the proof.
